ICLW: June 2009

If you are here via ICLW, welcome, I’m glad you found me! I had so much fun last summer doing ICLW, I’m happy to have the time (theoretically) to participate again!! If you don’t know what I’m talking about, click on the ICLW banner on my left side bar–it will take you to the page with all the details.

In a nutshell: I’m the mom to two through open, domestic adoption. I’m a teacher fully enjoying summer break. I also write for Grown in My Heart, an adoption network. I just recently learned about Twitter, and how to operate iTunes. My main goal some afternoons is to get both kids asleep in the backseat of the car, hit a drive thru for an iced coffee and park in the shade with a good book.

Thanks for visiting and don’t be a stranger! Leave me a comment and tell me what your summer plans include.

  1. WOw! Nice to meet you. I am a teacher too. What do you teach? I love the summer months too. I have recently starting contemplating adoption. How did you come to terms with your decision? I just can't give up the hope of having my own baby.

  2. Hi – I'm Wendy. Just found your blog through ICLW. I am a teacher, too, and loving the fact that I'm on summer break! I'm planning a couple summer trips – Chicago and Las Vegas.

We're waiting to adopt right now. It's been a little over 6 months. Hoping we find our little one soon. 🙂

  3. What's wrong with me? Why didn't I ever think about putting the kids in the car, finding a shady spot and enjoying a book? Pure genius!

  4. Hi Michelle, thank you for your post on my blog, I soo appreciate your comment on my questions about ICSI and adoption. If we'll ever be this lucky to be matched with a baby somewhere I already know in my heart it'll feel mine…
Our plan for the summer: now two weeks in Italy in my home-town and back to Dublin for the rest of it with anothr ICSI approaching! Love, Fran
