All Better

So weird–24 hour allergies, anyone?? The sniveling mess I put to bed on Wednesday night woke up Thursday just fine. A little sniffly, but her pretty eyes were all better and she didn’t sneeze once yesterday. SO WEIRD!

Guess I’ll add it to our list of weirdo questions for next week’s dr. appt. Among others:

Should she have a food reaction, how much Benadryl can I give her?

How do I switch over to whole milk?

Is Organic Milk really worth it? (it’s still cheaper than formula-how scary is that?)

She seems to be shuddering in her sleep–is that normal?

If she never decides to like juice, what else can she drink?

I’m sure there will be more questions by next week!

Clap Patty

The Babe has discovered clapping her hands, which, IMO, is one of her cutest discoveries yet! I know I say I’ll have to post pictures all the time, but now I really do. The look on her face is just priceless!!

Last night I had a dream that she could walk. That she just got up one day and walked. Now I know that surely one day she will, but was really freaky! Well, and it was freaky because she had thick blond hair in the dream, but it was definitely the Babe. Bizzaro.

So I should really post about Easter fun, and her new found love of cake and ice cream (we’re all about nutrition here), but I really must run. It seems like I’ve bitten off a bit more than I can chew in more than one arena in my life, so my thoughts aren’t really together for a real post.

Anyhoo, hopefully after the Relay For Life Silent Auction is over this weekend, I’ll have a little more internet time! I miss it!

Why I Love My Job

Ok, a month ago if you’d told me I would be posting about this, I would have laughed a horribly cynical laugh. Not this month.

So it’s now 7:50am. The Babe and I are due at work in 10 minutes. She is sound asleep-playing catch up from this weekend I think. She’s been asleep for 13 hours–the kind of sleep where she really hasn’t moved at all (yes, I’ve been checking that she is in fact, breathing). She shows no signs of stirring at the moment.

So I call into work, saying that I’ll be a bit late. Yesterday the Babe mostly stayed w/ me in the Bjorn because she just wasn’t happy any place else, and my boss appreciated my staying until my work day was done. Today she told me to just get to school as soon as I could–meaning, you know, as soon as the Babe woke up, had a ba, a bit of cereal or whatever….basically saying, it’s cool–you’re a Mom first, teacher second.

I love that.
