Today, after 2 weeks of waiting, MAM went to see a pediatric dermatologist for the rash that just won’t quit. It’s much better than it was, but it’s still hanging on and new bumps pop up every now and then.

The Verdict? A bacterial infection. Apparently, sometimes infections present themselves as rashes. As a result, we now have a fourth cream to use on MAM to see if it clears it up. (if anyone needs any anti-fungal, scabies or hyrdrocortisone creams, let me know–we’ve got plenty)

We also got cream to use on her face and the strange redness that comes and goes.

And now that we’re “in”, it shouldn’t take 2 weeks to get an appointment, should anything else pop up.

We are truly enjoying the most wonderful time of the year. What’s sweet about this year is that while she’s excited, she really has no idea why. And her only request is a paper book.

How are your little ones (or big ones) enjoying the season?

…for weird medical ailments and referrals to specialists. A year ago, MAM had a persistent ear infection that wouldn’t go away and we were referred to a specialist. This year, MAM has a persistent rash that won’t go away, so you guessed it–we’re going to a specialist. The good news? It’s not scabies. And it must not be too bothersome, because she’s been in a great mood these past two weeks. And it hasn’t stunted her growth–she’s now 39″ tall!!!
