Oh Indiana. You Slay Me.

So I live in one of the least educated, fattest, most unemployed and most forclosed upon states in the union. Because I live here, I can say that. Anyway, the high courts of the land aren’t really concerned with any of that.

They are working on looking at an adoption decree that was issued under the radar. Valid use of time? You be the judge. Check it out at Grown in My Heart.com

Monday in Kansas City

MAM and I kicked off our spring break living it up in Kansas City. We arrived at lunchtime, and MAM was thrilled to eat at the counter at the Crayola Cafe. I was thrilled to sit at the counter and get to know Moosh in Indy.

We played at the Crayola store for a good long while, and oddly enough, ran into old friends from Indianapolis. They were on Spring Break as well, and headed to the family session at Kaleidoscope….and they had two extra tickets (Kaleidoscope is free, but reservations recommended)!! We had the best time exploring all of the possibilities….shapes to paint, collages to tape, ribbons to tie, and many, many nooks to explore.

After Kaleidoscope, we found a great exhibit on the Wizard of Oz in the Crown Center. MAM played, following the yellow brick road and sliding down slides, for over an hour. Convinced that the girl could fall into a deep sleep at any moment, I picked up sandwiches for dinner we could enjoy back at the Hyatt.

And that was just day 1.
