‘Scuse me, while I kiss this guy…

You’ve seen that book right–the one that clarifies other wise unintelligible song lyrics?? I’ve got one to add to it:

“….Mary had a little lamb, who fleeced me in the snow….”

Turns out, there is also a website archiving and correcting misheard song lyrics. Enjoy!

(yes, this is it. It’s all I’ve got. Things are good. Things are busy. And I am Tired.)

  1. Haha–

Reid sings “Row, row, row your boat genty down the STREEEEEEEET! Merrily, merrily, merrily merrily, life is but a TREEEEAAAAAT!!” and ends with a drum solo on an overturned bucket. Cracks me up that he put in his own rhyming words 🙂

  2. Thanks for the website tip!

My husband and I, many years ago, had a looong and very funny conversation about such lyrics. Can’t recall any of them just now, but I bet a look-through the website will trigger some.

  3. Have to add one from Reid last night–not even kidding. Didn’t even know he knew “clementine”, but he was holding his little “dolphin on a stick” he got on vacation, you know the kind with the little trigger that makes the mouth open and close? And he starts singing “Oh my dolphin, oh my dolphin clementine” instead of oh my darlin’.

You think he’s gonna be funny when he gets older too?
