You guessed it–there can only be one reason. MAM is sick. I got the call just before lunch–she’s got a fever and is generally miserable. So now she’s asleep and I’m holding the fort down. And I’ve just gained 4 hours of time I wasn’t planning on having. So what shall I do? Laundry? Dishes? Enter more bloggy giveaways at the 11th hour?(there are more than 600 now!)

Oh my. I was going to resist, because you know, if I’m not blogging, I might actually be working, or cleaning or parenting……but I that I still had time today, and I’m all caught up on the Internet now, just cruising around entering giveaways left and right, and I couldn’t say no.
So….
I survived the post-Halloween insanity that is when you keep your kids up late, feed them sugar then send them off to school the next day. SO.MUCH.FUN. I don’t know if it’s fair or not that I sent my own cranked-up kiddo to her school this morning.
Last night was a great time–we did the daycare party, stopped by the governor’s mansion, and then went to a friend’s neighborhood for trick or treating. Becky and I drank red wine and passed out candy, while Becky’s husband took the kids around the neighborhood. THAT is how to do Halloween! If you are a MAM fan, you may be thinking that the costume looks familiar. That’s because it is. She refused to even attempt to wear her new, incredibly cute, cat costume…but came across her “cow” costume and LOVED it. Who am I to argue? We didn’t even bother with boots or a hat, and she was pleased as punch. I’m all about the easy.
