Ok, it’s actually funny now. But also kind of overwhelming, because how we handle this burst of attitude will sort of set the tone. Attitude, you ask? Oh yes, A-T-T-I-T-U-D-E.
Exhibit A: After I put her down for nap on Friday, I heard her calling, “mommy! mommy!” and I ignored her. Two minutes later, she’s knocking on her door and say, “MICHELLE! LET ME OUT! MICHELLE! LET ME OUT!”
Exhibit B: I picked up a Halloween card of hers today and said, “oh look, MAM, see the pumpkins?” And she said, “It’s mine. Leave it alone!”
And Exhibit C: After an easy goodbye this morning, I said, “MAM, keep those pants dry today!” And she looked at me with evil eyes and said, “NO. I pee in my pants!” She lived up to her word, and I had a nice bag of laundry waiting for me this afternoon.
Will someone please humor me and reassure me that this is as bad as two gets? Please?
