I’m down another pound, which means I’m under the 175 lb mark (again. barely) and am weighing in at 174.4lbs.
Things are moving right along–so far, I’ve been able to keep the Halloween treats at bay, and it’s been quiet on the birthday front.
I went clothes shopping Saturday, which was a ball, and I’ve been wearing new duds all week. I’ve gotten a ton of compliments, which feels really good! More than one person has asked if I’ve lost “a ton” of weight. And again, I’m thinking that nowhere does six lbs qualify as a ton, but hey, it’s in the eye of the beholder, right?? I am loving the stretchy cami I bought to go under a few shirts–it just sort of “smooths” everything out, and contains the flab, I think!
So here’s my advice–even if you are nowhere near your goal, even if you know you want to lose more weight, even if you don’t really “need” another shirt…if you’ve lost say, 5lbs or 10lbs or 15lbs, go shopping. Even if you just buy one shirt for $10 (the shirt in the shopping post was $9.99), it will make you feel good. And even if it’s the same size you’ve always worn, people may still notice that you’ve lost weight, because people will look at your new shirt and really look (where as, if you wear the same things you’ve always worn, people sort of look through you instead of at you).
Go ahead, try it…I dare you! And let me know how it turns out!!
Also, if you wouldn’t mind, check out the post below this one….and go vote for my shady monkey on TopMomma.com!!! Thanks!!!
You’re right, it doesn’t take much weight lost, and a new shirt that fits well for people to think you’re looking fabulous. Congrats!!
Congrats on great progress! For new clothes shopping, I recommend hitting a consignment shop that gets clothes from rich women. You can find really nice stuff for reasonable prices! 🙂

You are doing so well! It’s great inspiration for me. I think so much of people noticing, also, is that you start to carry yourself better and with more pride when you know you’re taking care of yourself. Guess I need to hit the gym… 🙂
