Lori hosts a link up every week called “Perfect Moment Monday” . Every week I see it, every week I think, “I should do that”, and every week it passes me by again. NOT THIS WEEK!
This week my perfect moment was my birthday lunch. I invited a few friends over during the noon hour, and we had the most perfect lunch together. The guest list included:
My friend whom I met in 1988 in my geometry class. Once you’ve suffered through geometry together, really, you’re bonded for life.
My friend whom I met during my Montessori training course in 1995. Again, meeting during such a pivotal year in one’s life bonds people.
My friend whom I met at our very first cooking club gathering in September 2001. She lives around the corner from me and I don’t get to see her nearly enough.
My friend whom I met through preschool in 2006, whom I complete probably 95% of my summer adventures with each year. Our girls are the same age, and I can’t really imagine my life without her!
And last, but not least, my friend I’ve met through the Twitter just this past fall. We’ve gone from one line chatters to walking buddies to friends.
Good Friends, Good Food, Great Conversation.
It was, by far, the best way to kick off my 37th year!

It was so great to get together for your birthday – or for any time, really, but having a party to celebrate just makes it all the better. 🙂 Had to snicker about the geometry bonding. Ah, yes. The pain, the pain.
Having all those eras and types of friends together to celebrate YOU is most certainly perfect!
LOL about geometry!
