  1. Too bad you had to say the “sweetest” valentine. Let me know if you ever do the worst – I have a rockin’ story about a high school boyfriend, mix tape, hippo and message that was the beginning of the end of our breakup….

I have a very unromantic hubby, so I can’t leave a comment vying for the prize, but will enjoy reading others!

  2. The sweetest valentine I ever received was from my almost four year old daughter. It was a blue heart (my favorite color) with “I LOV MOM” written on it. She was so proud of herself that she sounded it out herself.

  3. The year I was engaged, my fiance (now husband of 11+ years!) lived 75 miles away while at college. That year V-day was in the middle of the week so I knew I would not see him until the weekend. I was very surprised to see him parked outside my work when I got off that night! No better Valentine gift than my very own Love!

  4. The sweetest Valentine that I have ever received was the birth of my daughter. She came a bit before valentines day, but still was the best gift ever.

  5. It may not sound sweet- but remember when you were in HS and had a crush on that OH so hot guy that you never thought you had a chance w/. Well one year- My crush asked me out for Valentine’s dinner out of thin air. It was amazing and I was tickled the entire evening.- By the end of the night I had no idea why I found him so amazing or untouchable- Go figure! But the FEELING I got when he asked me out was amazing!

  6. Hello, Some years ago before I became a SAHM, I was a teacher’s aide in a second grade classroom. The students were learning disabilities and behavior disorders students! I worked with N., who was epileptic after falling from a grocery cart when he was a toddler. He would try me to the max. N. tried to use his illness as a way to get out of his school work!
Needless to say, many days he and I went round and round. Valentine’s Day came around and I knew better than to expect a card from him. Guess what. I did get an adorable card with his signature done the best way he knew how. N.passed away in his late teens after undergoing brain surgery. I still have his Valentine’s Day card…..Cindi

  7. While I was taking a shower, dh wrote “I LOVE YOU” on the fogged over mirror. When I got out of the shower, I discovered it. It was a sweet surprise.

    Count me in please.

    Thanks for the giveaway!

  8. What a great giveaway. Thanks for offering it. My sweetest Valentine was from my Husband that I received from him when we were dating. He sent me a Vermont Teddy Bear. I still have it some 14 years later.

  9. A few years ago, dh send me out of the house for a few hours. When I arrived home, he had cooked me dinner. Shrimp and steak on the grill….YUM!

After dinner, he had set up for us to have a babysitter, so we could go out together.

  10. How cool is that? The sweetest Valentine was from an Ex! He set up a great picnic on the beach the sent me on a treasure hunt with a map. Found a bunch of goodies ending with a lovely charm bracelet with charms that had meaning for us. But, he is an Ex but not for his lack of creativity! My DH is so not romantic! But he is a GREAT hubby.

  11. My dad gave me a Valentine my senior year of high school telling me how proud of me he was. It also had a gift certificate for an hour massage. Definitely my best 🙂

  12. I heard about the roll ups! OMG! I bet they are awesome.

My sweetest valentine EVER was the little baby boy I brought home from the hospital on Valentine’s Day 4 years ago. (Awwwww.)

  13. When we were dating, dh brought me 3 long stemmed roses and said that it meant I Love You (1 rose per word). Then he looked at me again and said that 1 rose isn’t enough per word and gave me 3 dozen…a dozen per word!

  14. Hey, I’ve got 2 sons with food allergies…we’ve got to get together!

The first Valentine’s Day after we were married, I was 7 months pregnant (not quite a honeymoon baby, but very close!). My husband was a youth pastor and we lived in the little house behind the church. Small budget, small house, big dreams. Somehow, he scraped up the money, and sitting in the baby’s room Valentine’s Day morning was the whitest, prettiest rocking chair from Cracker Barrel with a huge red bow hanging off it. Seven years later, and I’ve rocked all 4 of my babies in that rocking chair…

  15. My husband had to move to Minnesota ahead of us, and for Valentine’s day he sent me a message in a bottle! It was so sweet, and the poem was written by him. Such sweet words! The funny thing was that the card I sent him had such a close message to his poem that he wrote from his heart! LOL We were on the same wave length and really were touched by it.

  16. I swear I’m not trying to win the sympathy vote – just a cute story.

We have a son with autism. Closeness and intimacy were and still really aren’t his things. Nor was stringing more than MAYBE two words together. At 3 he finally, finally said those magical words we’d waited and waited to hear – I love you. BEST Valentine’s gift ever. I don’t think anything else will ever compare to it. Being honest, it was the 13th of February – but we see it as our V’day gift from him – and a great one indeed!

Thanks for offering such a great giveaway! That is very generous of you!!! Good luck to all!

  17. Please add me..the sweetest valentine would be an adorable mini angel bear that hubby left hanging from the rear view mirror of my car.

  18. In the 6th grade, my classmate ordered me a white carnation. I suspected that he liked me, but I was wayyy too shy to have him admit it. So to be friendly, he didn’t get me the pink or red carnation, but the white one instead – indicating friendship.

  19. my sweetest valentine was in 3rd grade.. the boy i had a crush on gave me a card and some candy — it was half eaten because he ate 1/2 and gave me the other half .. back then i was mad, but now i think its so cute, he was giving 1/2 of himself to me 🙂

Great contest! I want to win!!

  20. One Valentine’s Day my hubby gave me a plastic bubble heart and inside there was a bunch of little papers and on each paper he wrote something he loved about me. I was to open the heart and read one paper a day.(there was one for everyday of the year!) It was so sweet and meant more to me than anything he ever could have bought me.

  21. My DH knew how much I loved the movie Breakfast at Tiffany’s and one of business trips to NYC, I stopped in there and bought me one of their famous Tiffancy sterling silver heart charm bracelet’s! He called me on his cell phone and told me how he got of picture of him infront of the building and how much he thought of me while he was there (no mention of the gift!). So, he comes home and a week later it was Valentines Day and he surprised me with the little blue bag! My mouth hit the floor when he handed it to me! He then explained how he was so excited about the gift and that he had to call me from the store that day and hear my voice! Ah, how sweet! So I reached inside the famous blue bag and found the pretty little blue box tied with a white satin ribbon! I just about fainted when I saw the gorgeous bracelet inside and had always wanted one! It touched my heart so much that he remembered how I loved the movie and always wanted to go there, also it was a big expense to purchase that for me! We don’t have a ton of money since I am a SAHM! To me, that really spoke volumes to me of the amount of love that he has for me! I get all teary eyed remembering that moment and I will always cherish that bracelet! (I even kept the bag, box and bow it came in! LOL!)

Thanks so much for doing this!

  22. My most romantic V-day was when my now-DH and I first started dating. It was our first v-day and we were 2 hours away from each other doing our student teaching. I was bummed that we had to be apart, since V-day was in the middle of the week, but he called me and we talked for a while, so that made it better…then he said he had to go for a minute, but would call me back. WHen he called me back, he said that he had arranged with the hotel (where I was living at the time) to deliver something special to my door and that I should open it. Just then, there was a knock and outside was my sweetie with a bouquet of flowers! Turns out his student teaching co-op was in on the whole thing and let him skip out early that afternoon just to be with me! Toooo sweet!

  23. My sweetest Valentine was the marriage proposal (now) DH wrote in a Valentine’s card. I still have it, of course.

  24. My fav was when my niece gave me an adorable hand made valentine. We were still struggling with infertility and it meant the world to me!

Thanks for the chance to enter your drawing!

  25. My daughter made me a beautifully misspelled valentine last year. I love handmade treats from my family. caivanofamily[at]earthlink[dot]net

  26. My baby’s handprint on his first valentine’s day… yep, his daddy helped a little. Nothing melts a mommy’s heart like that kind of surprise.

  27. Please enter me. I would love to win this!

The best Valentine’s I’ve ever gotten were from my dad. He’s my ’step-father’ but he raised me since I was a small child and has always been my Daddy. We had a rocky time when I was a teenager because he just didn’t understand me – a bookish girl. He’s very quiet and was never overly affectionate or loose with words. Thats why when I get a simple card with “I Love you Taryn, Dad” written inside it means the world to me. When he says “I love you” his voice changes and I know he really really means it. I have the best daddy in the world.

  28. My sweetest valentine was from a friend- he was a bigger guy- and he gave me a “card” for protection- that if anyone was ever messing with me- I just needed to call him! It was sweet.

  29. Before we had kids, DH made a surprise Valentine’s dinner for me, had a trail of rose petals leading from the upstairs to the living room, and of course had roses and a card for me. That was before we had dining room furniture so we ate this wonderful meal Asian-style on the living room floor on pillows. 🙂 It was sweet.

Thanks for the chance to win the Fruit Roll-ups.

  30. I was in second grade a new boy (he just joined the class a few weeks earlier) who was learning english made me a personal valentine That read “You sweett. I lik you lot Moreen” Would have been perfect if he had got my name right! I remember his last name was Brown and he was so shy when he gave it to me.

  31. I have a cousin with a child with food allergies. I would be thrilled to win this for them!

    Thank you!

  32. Not sure what the sweetest gift I’ve received is… Not for Valentine’s Day anyway! LOL
I just wanted to say hi!

  33. My daughter made me one last year that was really sweet. Anything homemade from the kiddos is always so special.

  34. The sweetest valentine I’ve ever received is finding out I was pregnant. It was a shock, and we didn’t think it was going to happen for us without lots of medical help. What a great surprise!

  35. I would love this for Valentines Day. Yummy! Thank you for you having such a generous giveaway! I would LOVE to win!

    My email is holladayfam(at)gmail(dot)com.

    Thanks again!

  36. My husband was in Bible college during our 1st Valentine’s Day married. The college had a banquet. You could pay to have a song played during the dinner with a dedication to someone. I surprised him by having “our song” played. It was “The Other Side of Me” by Michael W. Smith. He loved it! I usually can’t surprise my super smart husband, so this was really nice!

  37. While my husband and I were dating, we lived about 8 hours apart for over a year. That year, two days before Valentines day, he sent me flowers at work and the card read “I”. (Yes, I was confused and thought the floral shop made a mistake.) I talked to him that evening, and he assured me there was no mistake…The next day, I received more flowers at work and the card read, “Love”. (At this point, I got really excited and wondered what the next day had in store!-and so did all of my co-workers:) ) So, on Valentines Day, I received one red rose surrounded with white carnations. The card read “Love” (again). I was thrilled with all of the flowers, but really confused. After talking to him (and thanking him), he said that the floral shop DID make a mistake this time…He was a little upset, but I thought it was SO sweet. Three days to say I LOVE YOU. 🙂
