My kids are a few years away from high school, but I was happy to hear about the latest youth-friendly initiative from Wendy’s. The Wendy’s High School Heisman is an award that recognizes outstanding student athletes. Eligible teens must be graduating with the class of 2010, have 3.0 GPA and play a high school sport. There are prizes and recognition for all levels of this award program, and 12 lucky recipients will attend a special award weekend in New York City.
Do you know an outstanding high school athlete? Encourage him or her to apply–the first 41,100 applicants will receive a free Wendy’s gift card ranging from $5-$50 for applying. The deadline is October 1, so time is of the essence. More details can be found at www.WendysHeisman.com.
FREE LUNCH
Are you ready for a free lunch? I ‘ve got a $20 Wendy’s gift card for one lucky reader. Just leave a comment and tell me one thing you liked about high school and make sure you leave/link to a valid email! Good Luck! Comments will close sometime on Sunday.
Disclosure: I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour campaign by Mom Central on behalf of Wendy‘s and received a gift certificate to giveaway and to thank me for taking the time to participate.
