Ah, those were fun books. One of my current favorite authors is Maeve Binchy - if you haven't read any start with Evening Class. They are typically slow starters but soon hook you - and she's still writing new stories. For more adventure type stories, John Lescroat has a great San Francisco based series and David Baldacci's Camel Club series are also enjoyable. Someone else remembers Lavryle Spencer! I liked the story, but was a bit surprised by some of the adult content this time. I wondered if that came from James or the other author.
