In the petting zoo today:
Five year old friend: ” Do you have children?”
me: ” no”
five year old friend: ” But you’re married. Now you should have a baby.”
me: ” I would like to have a baby”
five year old friend ” Then you should have one”
me: “that would be fun”
five year old friend ” Is there one in there?”
me: “No, there’s no baby in there”
five year old friend ” Oh. Can I pet the ponies?”
Ah. If only nosy grownups were as easily satisfied with such basic answers!!!
